"Um Sirius can I talk to you?"
I looked up from the book I had been reading to see Harry standing in the door way lookking nevrus, “yes of course Harry come in.”
He walked over to the sofa I was sitting on and sat next to me, “what is wrong Harry?”
"Well, you’re the closest thing I have to a father right now and I was wondering what you thought about me…. um… ah… asking…. um Ginny to .. um … you know…. marry me……." He trailed off looking at his hands.
This shocked me, I hadn’t even been sure if Ginny and him had been dating, let alone him thinking of asking her to marry him. “Well I think that’s great, as long as you are doing it for the right reasons,” I said looking as his face changed from worried to confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Well with everything that has been going on, I don’t want you rushing into things pruly because you don’t know what will happen tomorrow. But if you truly love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her the I said you should see if she wants the same thing," he nodded his head as if it would help him understand what I was saying.
"Yeah I get what you mean. But I really do love her and I do want to spend the rest of my life with her," he said looking up at me with a smile.
"Well then, ask her, and I wish the two of you a long happy life together," I said smiling back at him.
"Thanks Sirius," he said getting up and hugging me.
I hugged him back and said “any time kiddo.”
